New Chapter: Leading Google Cloud AI Initiatives with Gemini

I am thrilled to announce my transition to a new role as a Director focused on AI in Google Cloud. After dedicating nearly 14 years to building compelling developer experiences within Chrome, I am embarking on a new chapter, fully dedicated to what has become my significant focus: empowering developers and businesses to thrive with Gemini.

Over the past few years, an increasing portion of my work has been centered around Google's Gemini initiatives, encompassing model advancements and tool launches. Each new release further solidified my conviction that we are at a critical juncture where artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming how we develop, deploy, and scale software. The opportunity to dedicate myself full-time to this monumental shift, particularly within the enterprise context where the stakes and potential impact are highest, was simply irresistible.

In my new capacity with Google Cloud AI, I will serve as a Director, committed to fostering the success of developers and businesses utilizing Gemini, Vertex AI, the Agent Development Kit (ADK), Gemini Enterprise, and the broader enterprise AI platform. My mission will involve bridging teams across Google DeepMind, engineering, product, go-to-market, and developer relations, all with the singular objective of helping our users maximize the value derived from Gemini.

My work will primarily focus on the intersection of Cloud AI and real-world business and enterprise demands at scale. I will guide developers and technical leaders on effective strategies for building with Gemini, Vertex AI, and ADK, ensuring alignment between engineering realities, product vision, go-to-market strategies, and the evolving needs of the developer community. A key objective is to ensure that robust tools, comprehensive documentation, intuitive APIs, and effective patterns are readily available, enabling builders to confidently deliver solutions with Gemini.
